By April Hill

Tulsa, Okla. —

If you have a weather radio or an App on your phone, you might have heard something a little different this morning.

The National Weather Service office in Tulsa issued a crime bulletin for an overnight standoff.

Tulsa police put a neighborhood on lock down this morning during a standoff, right as people in the area were trying to get to work.

Meteorologist Bart Haake says, “Our broadcasting system is really a all hazards radio these days.

Haake says police called them to issue a crime bulletin on the weather radios telling homeowners in the area to stay inside and lock their doors.

He says this type of non-weather related alert is a little unusual.

"We have issued civil emergency messages for chemical releases. I personally have not done one for a law enforcement warning."

He says they have done a few child abduction alerts.

Actual bulletin is below.
