Mother leaves baby in car while drinking inside bar

A 33-year-old woman recently went to an Oklahoma City Louie's Bar and Grill to have a drink.

Her 8-month-old girl went with her, but was left inside the car for 30 minutes, while her mother got intoxicated.

FOX25 News reports the child wasn't discovered until after Catherine Durham appeared to be at least a little intoxicated.

"She started getting a little slurry and I told her you should probably get a cab and drink some water," a bartender said. "She said she needed to get something out of her car, one of our managers went with her and that's when they discovered there was a baby in the car the whole time."

The incident didn't stop there.

Durham is accused of trying to drive away with her baby.  FOX25 News reports people at the scene stopped her, until officers could arrive.

She faces a count of child endangerment.
