Original May, 2014:  Tulsa court records show Michael Slatton was charged on Monday with abducting and raping an 8-year-old girl.

He had been accused of grabbing the victim from a swing at the Willow Bend Apartments on May 4.  Slatton then took off with the girl in his vehicle.

An Amber Alert soon followed.

A tip led authorities to a Sapulpa Whataburger.  Creek County deputies attempted to arrest him, but he was able to get away.

Court documents show Slatton was tracked down a hour later in south Sapulpa and taken into custody.

The victim was found in a nearby wooded area.

He's currently in the Tulsa County Jail.  No word on his next court date.
