TULSA —

If you haven't heard by now, you have only a couple weeks left to cast your vote on one of the pressing issues of the day: Which game piece should the makers of Monopoly dispense with, and which new token should replace it?

One of the iconic pewter pieces will go, and a new, more modern piece will become part of one of the oldest board games still on store shelves.

The Facebook app set up by Hasbro says the old pieces are in "jail" and asks fans to vote which one should stay there permanently.

They're then asked to choose which would replace it.

The last time Monopoly added new pieces was in 1952, when the wheelbarrow and the Scotty dog were introduced.

The original lineup from 1935 included the thimble, the iron, the battleship, the top hat, the car and the boot.

New options include a cat, a guitar, a helicopter, a robot, and a ring.

As of Tuesday, the Scotty and the car look fairly safe, while the iron and the wheelbarrow are in trouble.

Voting ends February 5, and the new token will be announced the next day.
