Dangerous mobile meth labs on the rise in Tulsa

Mobile meth labs make the streets dangerous
Tulsa police have seen a rise in mobile meth labs over the last couple of years.

By Michael Purdy

Tulsa, Okla. —

Meth makers are taking their act on the road.

Tulsa police's Jason Willingham said mobile meth labs are becoming way too common.  The cause is nothing more then convenience.

"In the last couple of years we've seen a lot more of the one-pot meth labs," Willingham said.  "The mobility of the one-pot meth labs has had an increase on the numbers we're finding."

The increased use of mobile meth labs has made it more likely the car sitting next to you could catch fire.  Willingham said when conditions are correct, a car can easily catch fire due to the one-pot meth labs.

"Obviously, these things are very combustible," Willingham said.  "It can effect everybody around them."
