Moans and groans over road construction zones

First people complained because Tulsa's roads and bridges are in such poor shape.

Now road construction crews are doing repairs all over town and the complaints keep coming.

We spoke with diners at CiCi’s Pizza at I-44 and Peoria.

One man suggested, “They need to have better detours.  It’s like you run to the end of the road and have to figure it out for yourself.”

Another man said, “I think it’s just a drag on the whole economy.  Everybody seems to have a hard time getting to work on time.”

A pair of sisters who had just polished off a couple of pizzas was eager to share what was driving their frustration: “When I came in here to eat I joked they ought to pay me to come in here to eat to fight the traffic.”

A man told KRMG repairing the roads and bridges will take time, but predicted it will be worth it, eventually.  Work on the Broken Arrow Expressway between Yale and Harvard is expected to be complete by December.
