Mitt Romney contrasts position from Obama on same-sex marriage

Romney made the statements while in Oklahoma City

GOP presidential nominee frontrunner Mitt Romney contrasted his position on same sex marriage from President Barack Obama.

He made those comments while in Oklahoma City for a Wednesday night fundraiser and to pick up the endorsement from Governor Mary Fallin.

He met with reporters at the Oklahoma GOP Headquarters and all three of the questions he took from reporters dealt with his stance on gay marriage.

“I have the same view on marriage that I had when I was governor and that I have expressed many times.  I believe marriage is a relationship between a man and a woman,” said Romney.

He admitted same sex marriage is a very tender and sensitive topic and stopped short of accusing Obama of changing his position.

Romney did admit that states should be able to decide whether to grant certain legal benefits to same-sex couples.
