TULSA, Okla. —
Tulsa police say they've arrested a man they believe they can connect to a series of burglaries committed in the span of just a couple of days in midtown Tulsa.
TPD Ofcr. Jill Roberson confirms at least five burglaries occurred in an area between S. Lewis Ave. and S. Yale Ave., and between E. 21st St. and E. 51st St.
All five break-ins happened within a timeframe of approximately 48 hours.
Thursday afternoon, police got a call to the 3600 block of S. Atlanta Pl., where a neighbor saw a possible burglary and told police the suspect had gone into a nearby abandoned house in the 2400 block of E. 36th St.
They called for a K-9 unit for backup and found Darrell Baker, 41, hiding inside a bathroom in that abandoned house.
Baker remained jailed Friday on complaints of second-degree burglary and breaking and entering.
Ofcr. Roberson says detectives don't know yet if he was involved in the other burglaries, nor whether additional suspects may still be on the loose.
