Man tries to escape, leaves 9-year-old daughter behind

A Tulsa man faces numerous charges, after getting pulled over Friday night for speeding.

We're told the traffic stop happened on I-244, around 9:15 p.m.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol say Baracus McNeil smelled like alcohol and showed multiple clues of being intoxicated.

McNeil was asked if he had been drinking and he responded "a little more than a beer before he left the house."

Troopers then gave McNeil a field sobriety test and he failed.  OHP say the trooper tried to arrest him, but McNeil wasn't ready to be taken into custody.

Instead, he attempted to run away from the troopers, leaving his 9-year-old daughter inside the car.

McNeil was caught quickly and taken to jail.

He faces counts of DWI, child endangerment, failure to stay in a single lane, and eluding.

No word on if the daughter was taken into protective custody or picked up by a family member.
