Tulsa, Okla. —
Fortunately there was no rain in Tulsa early this afternoon.
Tulsa firefighters were on the scene in the Walmart parking lot at 81st and Lewis where a man somehow got stuck underground in a storm sewer.
Tulsa Fire Captain Stan May tells us the man may have been lodged where he was found for days.
Firefighters say they don't know exactly why he was in the sewer but they believe he was in the sewer for several days. A passer-by reported hearing the man and called 911.
Tulsa Fire's Stan May tells KRMG that the man entered the sewer where it empties into the Arkansas River about a half-mile away.
At one point, they thought it was a woman who was trapped but later determined and confirmed it was a man. Firefighters tell KRMG that the man was naked when he was pulled from the storm sewer.
