Collinsville, Okla. —
A Collinsville man attempts to shoot his girlfriend's father Friday evening with a pistol.
Police say 22-year-old Shelby Lewis confessed to shooting at the father over a drug dispute.
Officers were called out to the Collinsville home on a report of shots heard. Police say they found Lewis at the door and he had blood on his face.
Lewis is accused of hitting the father with a shotgun. Police say the two men then began to fight and Lewis pulled a pistol and opened fire.
The victim was able to hide in a nearby closet. Officers say Lewis fired two shots into the closet.
Officers found a shotgun and a pistol inside of the residence.
The victim wasn't seriously harmed during the incident.
Lewis is in the Tulsa County Jail on a count of shooting with an attempt to kill.
