TULSA —

A Tulsa man faces charges of rape, forcible sodomy, domestic strangulation, and domestic assault and battery after an attack on a woman late Saturday.

Jail records show Richard Thompson, 52, was arrested about 11:30 Saturday and booked into the David L. Moss Correctional Facility a little more than four hours later.

Investigators say he demanded a woman have sex with him, and when she refused, he became violent.

An arrest and booking report indicates he threw the 44-year-0ld woman to the ground, removed her clothing, and forced her to commit a sexual act, during which she bit him.

That apparently enraged the attacker, who violently raped her while punching her in the head and body.

When police responded to the residence a few block northeast of 31st and Harvard, they found the woman with a black eye, bruises on her face and throat, and other injuries consistent with beating and strangulation.

Police say they found bite marks on Thompson's genitals which backed up the woman's story.

Thompson remained jailed Monday morning in lieu of a $130,000 bond.
