KRMG's Steve Berg talks trash (carts)

By Steve Berg

Tulsa, Okla. —

I'll confess, as silly as it sounds, it was kind of exciting to get home from work last week and find two brand-new, pristine city-issued trash carts in my driveway.

And they were impossible to miss.

I got the 96-gallon monsters and my first impression was that they are a little tough to wheel around and if you don't have some place to stow them away behind the house, I can see where they could be a little unsightly to passersby.

But like anything, I'm sure I'll get used to it.

The gray one is for trash and the blue one (not green?) is for recycling.

I'm actually looking forward to being a little more green.

I'm guilty of not recycling as much as I could have in the past, but I think the new system should make it much easier than making trips all the way to the MET recycling stations for example.
