The National Weather Service office in Tulsa has issued a Red Flag Warning in effect from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. today.

The Oklahoma counties that are affected include Tulsa, Creek, Osage, Okmulgee. Washington, Pawnee and Okfuskee.

Expect strong south to southwest winds winds gusting to 35 mph at times as a warm front lifts northeast.

Temperatures will climb into the mid 90's and with dry air in place, this will result in relative humidity values of 15 to 25 percent in areas west of U.S. Highway 75.

Conditions will be slow to improve this evening as winds remain strong and humidity recovery will be poor overnight in many locations.

Any fires will quickly spread out of control and could endanger lives and property.
