Insurance hotline setup to aid fire victims

UPDATE: The Oklahoma Insurance Department has moved its Consumer Assistance Tent to Lake Church at the intersection of Hwy 48 and Hwy 51.

Many families who returned to property damage are now beginning the process of filing insurance claims.

Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner John Doak, while traveling with Governor Mary Fallin Sunday told KRMG with so much damage, its important file claims as soon as possible.

He say it's also a good time to review your current home insurance policy.

"The independent insurance agents will be very active in this area," said Doak. "Get the paperwork and process started now to protect your home, property and assets."

A statewide hotline has been set up to help victims needing insurance information that number is (405) 760-4104.

The number will stay active and staffed  24 hours a day until Tuesday.
