TULSA, Okla. —

Tulsa has a human trafficking problem. That's the word from Federal agents in Tulsa.

Officials from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement stopped in Tulsa Wednesday afternoon to shine a spotlight on the issue. Special Agent in Charge David Marwell says, "Unfortunately human trafficking is an issue throughout the United States and it is an issue here in Tulsa."

Agent Marwell tells KRMG that the secretive crimes can't be pinned on a single group. Marwell says, "There are all walks of life that are part of this problem. You have pimps, johns, you have individuals that are really trying to prey on our most vulnerable."

A major human sex trafficking ring in Tulsa was taken down recently in a sting dubbed 'Operation Poker Chip.'

KRMG is told that Juan Garza and 6 others are expected to be sentenced in Federal court on March 11th and 12th.
