A huge water main break near 61st and Mingo has 61st St shut down.
The break happened in front of the Woodland Hill Church of Christ around 9:15 A.M.
It took city crews about 2 hours to shut several valves and get the line shut down. Before they did that, water was shooting several feet in the air and the water wass close to two-feet deep in the area.
Repair crews say the break happened to a 48 inch pipe, which is one of the biggest in Tulsa.
61st from Mingo to South 90th E Ave. remains closed while crews determine how much damage was done to the road.
A home owner near 78th and Sheridan says she doesn’t have water.
