Gun sales skyrocket in Tulsa after election

Concerns that President Obama, Democrats in Congress still want to abridge gun rights

Tulsa, Okla. —

At Dong's Guns and Ammo in Tulsa, owner David Stone says sales have increased exponentially after the results of last night's election.

"We've sold so many guns this morning that we can't even hardly keep up," Stone said. "I mean we got people lined up here wanting to buy more. We're just putting them in as fast as we can, calling them as fast as we can."

While it might be good, even great, for his business in the short term, his tone sounded gloomy for his long-term business prospects.

He has concerns that President Obama and Democrats in Congress still want to abridge gun rights or do away with them altogether.

"I mean, it's good in the short run because everyone's in a buying mood now, but in the long run, you might not even survive," he said.

He said ammunition is in very short supply, so much so that his distributor has been rationing how much it will send him.
