A man on trial for shooting five people in north Tulsa in April is in more hot water.

Jacob England is now accused of assaulting an officer at the jail.

An arrest report says the 20-year-old elbowed the guard in the ribs on Thursday while being escorted back to his cell from the recreation yard.

In the report, the guard says, “England pulled away from me and in a violent manner turned toward me and swung his elbow at me hitting me on the lower right side of my ribs and back.”

The guard held the door open and pushed England into his cell.

The officer reports, “Inmate England refused to give me the cuffs back.”

The suspect eventually gave in to the guard and handed over the cuffs.

The officer was then sent to a doctor for examination.

In the report, the doctor says, “The area which was struck was tender and sore to the touch. I observed redness and slight swelling in the area.”

England and Alvin Watts are charged with three counts of murder and two counts of shooting with intent to kill.
