TULSA, Okla. —

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has released the name of the man gunned down near the Glenpool Walmart Thursday evening.

They identify him as Mark Coble, 21, of Glenpool. They have not released the name of the friend who was with him when the pair got into an argument with three men in another vehicle in the Walmart parking lot.

The argument moved a few hundred yards southwest, and at some point one of the men in the other car pulled a semiautomatic handgun and opened fire, striking Coble.

He and his friend drove away from the scene toward the friend's home at the Barnhart Trailer Court, 14645 W. 141st St. in Kiefer.

The friend called 911 enroute, according to the OSBI, but Coble died before help could arrive.

“OSBI agents and Glenpool officers have collected evidence at the scene and conducted numerous interviews and will continue to do so today,” Jessica Brown, OSBI PIO, tells KRMG.
