Gas prices jump again in Tulsa

Up to $2.99 at most stations in Tulsa.

By Don Bishop and Skyler Cooper

As you get up and head back to work this morning, you'll see a higher price for gasoline once again.

Gas prices at most stations in Tulsa are sitting at $2.99 right now.

Other retailers are expected to follow suit later today.

The price for gasoline around Tulsa remains at less than what retailers are charging elsewhere in the United States.

The national average for a gallon of gasoline was $3.26 per gallon last week.

This is the second jump of prices in Tulsa in a matter of days.

Prices dipped down to as low as $2.78 just two weeks ago. It was two weeks ago when we say the first jump in prices. Gas went up from that price of $2.78 to $2.89.

Gas prices fell again to below $2.80 last week before taking a jump on Thursday back to $2.89.

Accoring to GasBuddy, prices yesterday were almost 12 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago. They also say
the national average has increased about 2 cents per gallon during the last month.

Today we lose another dime per gallon as we're now back to $2.99.

If you see gas at a lower price in Tulsa, make sure you let us know.
