Claremore, Okla. —
The family of Jon Townsend will memorialize their fallen soldier Friday morning at 10am at First Baptist Church in Claremore at 107 W. Will Rogers Blvd.
Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00. Burial with military honors will be at Lone Chapel Cemetery in Adair, Oklahoma.
Army Pfc. Townsend, 19, was one of four US soldiers killed on September 16th in Afghanistan when his unit was attacked by ‘insider’ Afghan police.
