Former band director accused of having sex with student

A former Luther Public Schools band director has been accused of being sexually inappropriate with a 12-year-old student.

Newsok.com reports Kyle Whitmus hasn't been charged.  Still, an investigation has been going on for almost two months.

A warrant indicates the victim told officers Whitmus had sex with her inside the school's music room back in January.  Additionally, he's also said to have kissed and touched the girl in late 2014.

This isn't the first time Whitmus has had issues with students.  Newsok.com reports he was suspended back in 2012 for allowing a student to sleep in his hotel room during a field trip.

A search warrant was filed in Oklahoma County and investigators have seized computer equipment and telephone records belonging to Whitmus.
