Two of the eight firefighters injured in Wednesday's fire at Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences are still in the hospital.

One of the firefighters was released from Hillcrest Hospital late Friday.

Stan May, the spokesperson for the Tulsa Fire Department, says the other two emergency workers are in the hospital in good condition.

The flames broke out at the school at 17th and Lewis around 4:30 in the morning in the school's lab area.

Not long after firefighters arrived, at least two explosions erupted, forcing them from the building.

The firefighters suffered burns to their hands and face.

Firefighters finally got the flames under control about noon.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is assisting in the investigation of the cause.

The students will attend their first full day for classes Monday at the old Sequoyah Elementary.

The building was vacant all summer after TPS reorganized.
