(KELLEYVILLE, Okla.) - A man is shot and killed by one of four officers that fired guns at him Wednesday night in Kellyville.
Creek County deputies were called to the home after a fight with Mark Smith's estranged wife and child.
When investigators pulled up, they say Smith was in a field nearby waiving an object.
Deputies commanded Smith to drop what he was holding. He ignored the commands and went inside a metal building where he was living. His estranged wife lived in a separate residence on the same property.
Eventually, Smith lifted a metal door to the building and drove out. Deputies say he appeared to have a rifle inside the cab of the truck.
Investigators say Smith drove his pickup into a Bristow officer knocking the officer down.
That's when three deputies and a Bristow officer fired their weapons at Smith.
Smith was transported to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. Doctors pronounced Smith dead just after 2 a.m. Thursday.
