TULSA, Okla —

News on 6 Meteorologist Travis Meyer says there's a 20 percent chance of  scattered showers and thunderstorms Thursday night with a low around 76 degrees.

The skies will turn mostly cloudy Friday afternoon and rain and thunderstorm chances will increase to 70 percent.

Some of those storms could turn severe.

Travis says stronger storms are more likely for portions of eastern Kansas and Missouri.

Friday night football games in northeastern Oklahoma may be impacted by the weather as showers and thunderstorms are expected to linger.

Travis says total rainfall amounts are estimated to total between half-an-inch and one inch.

The rain and storms will give way to a near perfect Saturday in Tulsa.

The forecast calls for sunny skies and 78 degrees.
