TULSA —

Okmulgee Police Chief Joe Prentice has announced the arrest of the fourth suspect in a robbery and shooting which occurred early Wednesday.

He tells KRMG they identified and found the last suspect late Wednesday afternoon with the help of investigators from the district attorney's office.

Four armed robbers struck an Okmulgee convenience store early Wednesday morning, shooting the clerk several times and getting away with beer and cigarettes.

Prentice tells KRMG it happened about 2:45 a.m. at the Kum-n-Go store at W. 4th St.  and N. Kern Ave.

One of the robbers went behind the counter and assaulted the clerk, Jacob Rogers, 21,and during the struggle Rogers was shot four times.

The suspects all wore hooded jackets and bandanas.

Prentice says an officer pulled up on the scene literally seconds after the robbers left, before a 911 call was even made.

He was going to the store to make a purchase.

Prentice identifies three of the suspects as Jerry Thompson, Jeffery Edwards and Johnnie Ellis, all 17.

The third suspect is 14 years old, his name was not released.

Police say they're still trying to identify the fourth suspect.

Rogers' wounds are not believed to be life-threatening.
