The Washington Examiner reports that Congress wants to get a handle on federal agencies and the expensive rules they impose.
They've got a new bill that says lawmakers would have to approve any new federal regulations that have an impact of $100-million or more.
Lawmakers say the executive branch approved 200 such rules last year, 16-times more than what Congress did in the same time period.
A conservative think tank says cutting back on the agency rules could save taxpayers as much as $27-billion per year.
