Near freezing temperatures expected for Tulsa Monday morning

It's a KRMG extreme weather alert, temperatures are near freezing to start the day Monday.

A Frost Advisory from the National Weather Service is in effect until 9:00 a.m.

To the north of Tulsa County, is a Freeze Warning for Washington, Adair, Craig and Nowata counties.

News On 6 Meteorologist Dick Faurot says Saturday, the temperature only reached 50 degrees.

He says, “The normal low is 54 to put things into perspective. The normal high would be 76. That is a new record for the coldest daytime high for this date.”

Monday the temperatures will warm back up to the 60s.

“Seventies return for Tuesday along with a south breeze. Then a chance of rain with a weak system moving in on Wednesday. south winds return there for Thursday, Friday and Saturday with chances of showers and storms and warmer temperatures.”
