A grass fire near the Claremore city water treatment plant has shut down the plant for repairs.
A statement posted on the City of Claremore Government Facebook page says a grass fire did some damage to the wiring at the water treatment plant on Monday.
The city is asking customers to refrain from non-essential water use while repairs are made.
