Fast moving storm hits Tulsa area during rush hour

Monday’s quiet weather will be replaced with a little bit more active weather.

News On 6 Meteorologist Travis Meyer says a storm is headed our way.

Meyer says, “Best chance will be in the afternoon for a few strong or isolated severe storms with hail and damaging winds."

He says the greatest chance is in the late afternoon Tuesday.

“We're looking at about a 30% chance of a few isolated or severe storms. Hail and wind would be the main threat. Isolated tornado threat would be east of Tulsa near the Arkansas border.”

Monday’s forecast is partly cloudy to cloudy skies with a high near 65 degree.

Travis says the low is 52.

We’ll be back up to temperatures near 70 degrees by Wednesday.

We have the KRMG Storm Center fully staffed and on stand by should the weather become severe.
