TULSA, Okla. —

Lawmakers are debating another anti-meth bill.

House Bill 2808 would give pharmacists more power to determine whether you really need products containing pseudoephedrine.

Some think it's a good idea.

“It seems like a reasonable compromise between control and freedom and putting someone in a position to make a decision without having to be afraid of the consequences. I think it’s a great idea,” said one man.

But a woman countered, “I don’t think that’s right. It’s too personal. You can’t tell by just looking at a person.”

The legislation also removes the potential for pharmacists to be held liable for their decision.

And House Bill 2808 would make it illegal to knowingly dispense, sell, transfer or otherwise furnish a product containing pseudoephedrine outside a licensed pharmacy.
