It's the first day of his life and Damon Guthery Jr. has already beaten the odds of one in every 1,500 people born on Leap Day.
His mother, Bertguanette Guthery, tells KRMG he barely made the deadline.
She says, "We had him at 1:28 a.m. and he weighs ten pounds, four ounces and 24 inches long.”

Damon was born at the Helmerich Women's Health Center at Hillcrest.
He was supposed to miss the deadline by a long shot.
"He's a week late actually. He was supposed to be born on the 23rd. But, he's a knucklehead."
Damon’s parents say they’ll make up for the years without a February 29th by celebrating on the 28th through the 1st every year.
