Employees at Wendy’s told cops the man who robbed them was a former worker at the restaurant. Despite wearing a mask and gloves, workers said they recognized Hector Raul Chavez’s voice.
The Austin-American Statesman writes, "a witness saw the man leaving in a car that was parked across the street."
An affidavit says officers spotted the car outside a barber shop a mile away. Inside they found money, a mask, and a gun. Once in the shop, they found Chavez calmly getting a haircut.
During questioning Chavez fessed up, admitting the money was taken from the Wendy’s.
The paper reports jail records confirm that’s not the end of Chavez’s problems. Cops found immigration issues and are holding him for agents.
One barber recently got attention for giving "old man" haircuts to kids who disobeyed their parents.
