The man charged with shooting a Tulsa County deputy and firing shots outside the Tulsa Courthouse in March is facing additional charges tonight.

Andrew Dennehy is now charged with trying to escape and assaulting an officer.

Prosecutors say Dennehy claimed he had to use the restroom while he was in the hospital in March and when the deputy unhooked his leg cuffs and that is when Dennehy tried to run but fell into the deputy.

The charges filed today are in addition to the two counts of shooting with intent to kill, reckless conduct with a firearm, and possession of a firearm after delinquent adjudication against Dennehy.
