TULSA, Okla. —
A son is arrested on a complaint of murder just hours after a service worker found his mother with a stab wound.
It began about 3:20 p.m. when an exterminator showed up to service a home in the 3600 block of E. 24th St., just southeast of 21st and S. Harvard.
Tulsa police told KRMG that the worker called 911 and when an EMSA crew arrived, they discovered 43-year-old Veronica Stick suffering from what appeared to be a stab wound to the chest.
She was transported to St. John Medical Center, but they could not revive her and she died from her wounds.
TPD said 20-year-old William Matthew Stick became a suspect after he went missing following the stabbing.
William Stick was arrested on foot around 8 p.m. near 2900 South Peoria.
He's been booked into the Tulsa County jail for first degree murder.
TPD wouldn't give a motive for the stabbing.
