The movie is said to tell the story of what really happened behind the scenes of the classic 80’s show.

Look-alike actors will play the key roles filled initially by Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tiffani-

Amber Thiessen, Dustin Diamond, Mario Lopez, Elizabeth Berkley, and Lark Voorhies.

The Lifetime movie will air over Labor Day weekend and promises to include who hooked up with whom, and reveal drug use by the stars.

The Hollywood Reporter theorizes some of the stories will come from the salacious book, “Behind the Bell,” written by Diamond (Screech,) several years ago.

BuzzFeed says, "hours of brand-new interviews" were used to piece together the film, but they don’t go into detail on who those interviews were with.

They did take a look at the cast and compare them to the original stars. See that page here.
