“2 Chics Lemonade” to raise funds for Girl Scout camp, local charity

When 5-year-old Allison Yelle realized the $2 in her piggy bank was not going to get her to Girl Scout camp this June, she decided to team up with her 4-year-old sister, Sarah, to sell lemonade.

2 Chics Lemonade is open for business this Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. in Tulsa.

The young duo even has their own Facebook page.

The Yelle sisters’ mom, Paige, said the money isn’t just going to Girl Scout camp.

"We are partnering with James Mission to pay for a child in the foster system to go to swim lessons this summer," Yelle said. "Each summer, there is the sad news of a child who drowned. If one child can be taught to swim then perhaps a life can be saved or even more if they are able to save someone else at some point in their life."

Lemonade Day is Sunday, May 3.

Yelle said she hopes Tulsa will get on the Lemonade Day map next year, so they can sell lemonade at different locations without a permit.

If you want to help the Yelle sisters raise money but can't make it over for lemonade this weekend, you can donate here.
