An off-duty Tulsa police officer on her way home from work helps a traffic crash victim near 6800 Riverside Drive early Wednesday.

We're told the accident happened about 4 a.m. when the driver hit a curb and overcorrected.

News On Six photojournalist Gary Kruse tells us "the SUV flipped over on its top and slid for a considerable distance before it came to a grass area and returned to its wheels."

Kruse says the officer helped the driver get out of the vehicle through the passenger window.

The driver was complaining of injuries to his knees and his neck.

As a result of the accident, northbound Riverside Drive was closed for about an hour until authorities could clear the wreckage.
