Young children not restrained while mother drives high

A Tulsa mother is accused of driving high early Saturday morning, with her 3 and 11-month-old kids unrestrained in the back seat.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol say Deemecia Ballard was pulled over near Admiral and Sheridan, around 1:15 a.m.

Her car was said to be swerving and her headlights weren't on.

She was given a field sobriety test, after slurring her words.  Ballard was also said to be very drowsy.

Police say she failed the tests.

Ballard then admitted to taking Alprazolam, muscle relaxers, and Norco, before driving with her two kids.

Police say her 3-year-old wasn't wearing a seat belt.  Ballard's 11-month-old was in a baby seat, but it wasn't bucked to the seat in any way.

She faces multiple counts including DUI, and child endangerment.
