You needed to know: Cow tipping is a myth

The reason dates back to one word from your high school science class, physics.

Writing for Modern Farmer, Jake Swearingen says it would be nearly impossible for several humans to tip a 1,400 pound cow and for one person to do it is close to impossible.

The urban legend of having a few too many barley pops and then heading to the field is just that, a legend.
Oh the beer is real and so is the talk but to actually pull off the stunt, not so much.
Swearingen makes a great case when he points out there isn’t a single YouTube video showing a cow being tipped. Wherever there is beer, giggling, and a challenge these days there is YouTube. But in this case no shaky, night time, low light video proof exists.
Physicists took a look at the data and believe it would take six people to tip a cow and even then things would need to line up just right.
Another monkey wrench in the tipping talk, cows don’t sleep standing up.
Swearingen writes “as long as there’s booze, gullibility and a pasture nearby, cow tipping will live on."
He finishes by pointing out “luckily for the cows, there’s very little chance they’ll ever end up actually on their sides."
Have you every REALLY seen a cow being tipped? If so, please let us know in the comments section below.
