Tulsa police are investigating after a dog bit a three-year old boy near 11th and Yale late Sunday.
Tulsa Police Corporal Jerrod Hart tells us the dog's owner had the dog on a leash when the dog bit the boy about 10:15 p.m.
Hart says the dog owner "was talking on a cell phone and apparently not paying attention and a 3-year old who was playing outside the apartment complex ran up apparently too close to the dog and ended up getting bit by the dog."
We're told that the bite may have fractured one of the boy's bones.
"Bit him on the left arm. He had two puncture wounds that we know of for sure. They also thought that he may have had a least a hairline fracture on the bone in his arm."
Hart also tells us that this is the third time that the dog has bitten someone in the same apartment complex.
The owner was charged with harboring a vicious animal.
