12-year-old steals school bus for second time in a month

On Tuesday, 12-year-old Michael Propst was charged with stealing a school bus and taking it for a joyride.

On Wednesday, he repeated the act.

"Our initial reaction was, 'Oh no, not again,'" Parker, Florida police chief Charles Sweatt told WMMB.

Propst went even further for the second incident.

Cops say he stole a car from his aunt, then drove to an elementary school. From there, he made off with the bus and drove 55 miles before being stopped by deputies in Franklin County.

This time officials kept Propst in juvenile custody where he’ll face charges of trespassing on school property, and grand theft auto.

Sweatt told the News Herald the boy is "not unruly or resists arrest or anything of that nature from what I understand. He's just into stealing vehicles."
