He wasn’t taking the trip all alone either.
Before he started out on the nearly 40-mile trip sometime before 6am while his parents were sleeping, he strapped his 18-month-old sister in the backseat.
He made it about 6 miles from his home before veering off of the snow packed road and ending up in a ditch.
That’s where a snowplow driver saw the car and alerted authorities.
When cops in the town of Vest Oppland, Norway arrived on the scene, the boy tried to claim he was a dwarf who had forgotten his license at home.
Police quickly determined that he was not and drove the boy and his sister home where the children’s parents woke up to discover their kids and their car missing.
A police spokesman says that since the children were not injured and the car was undamaged the boy will not face any charges.
