Tulsa, Okla. - Officers take 63-year-old Perry Hill into custody for Tulsa's 23rd homicide of the year.
Police say a man was found shot to death on a road near 56th and Hartford Friday evening. The incident happened around 10 p.m.
Hill and the victim had been arguing for most of the day. Police say they were told the victim was known to be assaulting people in the neighborhood.
TPD believes something happened to escalate the argument as the victim was getting ready to leave. A gun was then pulled and the man was shot before he could get into his vehicle.
When officers arrived, Hill was still at the scene and the murder weapon was nearby. Police say they took the suspect into custody and recovered the gun.
It's believed Hill didn't flee the scene because he's immobile. TPD says his caretaker either lives with him or nearby, so Hill had no place to go after the shooting.
An arrest report says Hill confessed to shooting the victim while being handcuffed.
