16-year-old killed in ATV crash

Sun, Sept 24, 2017 — A sad story to report out of Okfuskee County.

KRMG's told a 16-year-old was killed on Saturday in a two-vehicle crash.  The collision happened around 2:47 p.m. near Paden.

“Vehicle one (Dodge Ram)was westbound and vehicle two (Yamaha ATV) was eastbound on county road 970,” Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.  “Vehicles met at a hill crest. Vehicle two swerved right, went into a broad slide, and impacted vehicle one.”

The ATV then rolled an unknown amount of times and the teenager was ejected.

OHP reports the other driver was not injured.

The victim’s name hasn’t been released due to his age.
