Women claim pot makes them better mothers, wives

They call themselves the "Marijuana Moms."

The ladies claim they smoke weed on a regular basis to relax and help deal with chronic pain.

But here’s the kicker, they also say pot makes them better mothers and wives.

Say what?

"We've all come up against people who say marijuana is for dirty druggies” Cheryl Shuman told Orange News UK.

"I like to think we are bringing some glamor and exclusivity to marijuana use" she quipped.

January Thomas takes care of her two year old and still gets high five times per day.

She also reads books to her little one with names like "Mommy's Funny Medicine," and "It's Just A Plant."

Thomas said “it puts me in the moment with Zeena and stops me worrying about everyday problems."

Another of the mothers, Simmi Dhillon uses weed to ease pain she suffered after a serious car crash injury in 2003.

She told Huff Post UK "when I found medical marijuana my life turned around. I was 37 and I tried a joint my friend was smoking, for the first time in years I felt human. I was able to be the wife I wanted to be once again and it saved our marriage."

Ganja is illegal without a prescription in California where the Beverly Hills moms live.

Diane Fornbacher is with a group pushing to legalize pot called NORML. She says “marijuana parents aren’t perfect but they’re far less imperfect than parents who use alcohol irresponsibly."
