Women are ambushed while heading out for the evening

Two women are robbed as they were preparing to go out early Friday evening.

Tulsa police say two suspects jumped into a car located at an apartment near 51st and Lewis and demanded the victim's dump their purses.  The women say one of the suspects had a gun.

Both women complied with the robbers demands.  Police say the men got away with money and cellphones.

The suspects then exited the vehicle and got away on foot.

Police say the victims went to a nearby store and called for help.

Officers are searching for two black males in their 20s.  Officers say one guy was wearing a charcoal colored hoodie and the other suspect had a yellow and black sweatshirt.
