Woman's "stomach bug," turns out to be a baby

Jennifer Scollin was having stomach pains but thought it was just a bug that was going around.

She was not quite right. Scollin was at home when she began having more intense pain, so she called her boyfriend to take her to the hospital.

Just after he got there, her water broke.

The pair called 911, but it was too late. "We didn't know at first it was a baby coming, but once we did it happened fast," she told the Connecticut Post.

And it was quick, "two pushes and he was out," she noted.  “He”, is Cole Michael Thomas Dillman, all 9-pounds, 3-ounces of him.

Scollin was shocked her “stomach bug,” was a baby.

"I had been feeling fine until the past few days, and I had been getting my 'womanly thing' every month until last month," she pointed out.

A hospital worker admitted cases like this are not unheard of. "This sort of situation is uncommon, but we are always prepared for anything."

Both Jennifer and little Michael are doing well, and both were released to go home yesterday.
