Ana Maria Moreta Folch called a heavy-equipment operator. She told them she had a trailer and wanted it demolished.
She made a deal with the business and gave them a key when they showed up.
Then, she sat back and watched the destruction.
The fly in the ointment came when Maria Gottfried, the real owner of the structure, showed up while it was being leveled.
The Florida Times-Union reports Folch admitted to St. Augustine police she didn’t own the trailer.
Gottfried told them she hadn’t had issues with her neighbor and had never given her a key.
Cops say Folch claimed there were, "unsavory characters” living in the home," and accused them of breaking into her car.
The woman was arrested and charged with criminal mischief before being released on $10,000 bail.
Deputies estimate the damage at $25,000.
